How low will she go?

Many of you may know that I'm an avid cyclist. My dear hubby and I log in some serious miles on weekends (usually 35-50) and I commute on my trusty steed whenever possible and I passed the 2,000 mile mark for the season (late May on) a few weeks ago. To be honest, I really don't remember the last time I was in the car. I'll bike through rain. I'll bike through wind.

I won't bike through snow. I'm not that nuts...

In the past, I didn't bike if it was below 55. Well, with some proper new gear, I've already gone well below that! (heck, lately that feels downright balmy) Today was a slightly different story - with 47 degrees, my husband and I didn't take our customary pre-work 25 miler but I did commute to Iverson from Shorewood (round trip is about 11 miles).

So, I ask you, "How low do you think I'll go?" Cast your vote below -

Now I'll have to watch the thermometer and check for Anne's bike. I'll let you know what happens.

I have rode my bike in blizzards and below degree weather. if i can do it ann, you can do it! you are much more avid then I am. like you said, all it takes is the proper gear, stay slow and steady, and when you fall, make a snow angel. oh, and a little ginger brandy helps you stay warm too. once you are out and about, you forget you are cold, because you start to warm up. and it is most peaceful when it snows. I highly recommend it. oh, and don't forget a little vaseline on the cheeks.

(I think it is harder to bike in hot weather (like the 103 degree day I rode around the bronx, icky) than in cold weather.)
